FIVE YEARS this coming January for DC Productions, and what a crazy ride it's been. It all started with a charity party that was to be done in a Fraternity House basement that was to benefit the American Cancer Society. Rave wasn't even part of the planning then. But, after a few motivational conversations with a certain DJ Spree, DC Productions was formed and Elemental turned into one of the most well known parties in the post mega-rave era. To many, Elemental means their first party; their first dive into a music scene that has given all of us so much over the years. For us, it was the first jump into event promotion that ended up bringing us on a roller coaster of highs and lows, finally settling at this point.

FIVE YEARS. In retrospect, it actually went by really fast! Elemental, Children of the Revolution, Blueshift, Hall-O-Ween, Elemental 2, Blueshift 2, Elem3ntal, Spring Fever, Sign of the Times, Future Perfect, the DC House of Love, and finally, Elemental 4. Plus a whole lot of other crazy stuff in between. These shows represented what we thought made a good show, and hopefully, a lot of you agreed. Some of the best times of our lives took place not at these shows, but planning for them and trying to make them happen, and then, of course, the clean up afterwards. A lot of us have formed friendships with each other that will literally last a life-time. There is a countless list of people who made everything we do possible. A list of thank you's would never be sufficient, and would not do all of you who helped us get here over the years any justice.

So, the future. This is a tough point. While we'd love to continue to throw parties, the energy, time, and money just aren't there for what we'd like to do. We won't go into a long list of what happened to make us come to this decision, but basically, we're really excited to be the people in front of the speakers raving out and partying with our friends rather than the people running around behind the scenes.

For now, we'd rather do one last show to put some closure to this. A last party where it all started and one last chance for us to speak to you the only way we know how, which is through tall speaker stacks and lasers of fire. We look forward to seeing you all at Elemental 4, where we can thank all of you in Minneapolis for the FIVE YEARS of support and love that you've given us.
